It will follow the adventures of Hornet, and will feature a quest system and a new difficulty mode featuring permadeath. Silksong has been hotly-anticipated since being announced back in 2019. A graphic featuring the games confirmed for Xbox / PC over the next 12 months did not include Hollow Knight: Silksong. There is no official Hollow Knight Silksong release date right now, but it is expected to arrive in late 2023. While the release date remains murky, Silksong did receive a new trailer earlier today along with confirmation that it would be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. IGN has reached out to Team Cherry for confirmation and will update this story with any comment. However, it does appear that it will finally be released sometime between now and June 2023 after a lengthy wait. The confusion stemmed from a graphic listing every game coming to Xbox and PC over the next 12 months, which appeared to omit Silksong. Xbox head of global gaming Sarah Bond also confirmed that Silksong would be available within the year. This delay was announced by Matthew Griffin on Twitter, who handles marketing and publishing for the game. The confirmation came via a tweet from the official Xbox Twitter account reading, "Everything you're seeing today is playable over the next 12 months." The expected release date for Hollow Knight Silksong is late 2023 for Xbox, PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC, following a delay from its first half of 2023 window.
